Under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, financial institutions are required to disclose this information by no later than July 1, 2001.  This Act also requires financial institutions to provide this information at least once a year.

           

            We obtain nonpublic personal information from our clients in order to provide them with appropriate financial advice and meet NYSE Rule 405.  This rule states that representatives must know all essential facts about a client’s financial background before making recommendations or executing transactions.  We only collect information we deem necessary in meeting this requirement.  This information is collected from you through applications, meetings, correspondence, and reviewing your past and present financial transactions.  When necessary, information may also be collected from employers and medical or health care providers.  In short, we use the information we gather to help you meet your financial and insurance objectives.

 

            We reserve the right to disclose nonpublic personal information about customers and former customers to third parties as is necessary to conduct our business, or when disclosure is required by law.  We may provide this information to third parties including, but not limited to providers such as banks, insurance companies, securities broker dealers, and mutual fund companies.  An example of disclosure that is necessary in conducting our business is supplying information to an institution that is servicing a financial product or service that you either requested or authorized.    We do not under any circumstance sell or provide customer information to persons or organizations outside of Greenville Financial Consultants, Inc. for their own marketing purposes.
